A well sized bathroom is achieved by combining the existing small bathroom and the separate toilet room. Each room’s small window now combined to ‘create’ twin windows behind the bath. The use of travertine tiles throughout the house encouraged the procurement of identically sized and coloured travertine for both floor and walls.
The ‘wow’ factor is the recycled tiger-grain blackbutt timber benches against a rock-face travertine block wall – a captivating fusion of strong natural pattern and texture to stimulate the senses. The freestanding bath with its lighted wall niches, open seamless shower, and minimalist toilet alcoved behind a projecting recycled timber bench seat complete the package.
